For chickens, you can also fill out our form, call, or check our facebook page to see if we have anything currently available. Chickens can normally be picked up the same day if we have them availalbe.

All of our animals are well-socialized. Our pigs are handled from day one, and all pig parents know how to sit. As part of our farm tours, our animals regularly interact with visitors, providing ample socialization and exposure to different people. They also interact with other farm animals, including horses, a donkey, cows, chickens, dogs, and pigs.

- Kunekune Pigs can live up to 20 years and are not fully grown until 6 years old, making them a long-term commitment. - Mini Zebu Cows have an average lifespan of 18-21 years and are disease, bug, and bloat resistant. - Salmon Faverolle Chickens, bred for exhibition, tend to survive 1-3 years in the Texas heat due to their larger size and northern bloodlines.

All of the breeds we focus on at Halbert Farm are heritage breeds. Kunekune pigs are known for their friendly and docile nature, making them great pets and excellent for small farms. Mini Zebu cows are disease and bug resistant, making them ideal for Texas climates. Salmon Faverolle chickens are known for their unique appearance and are bred to high standards for show and breeding.

We offer farm tours through Airbnb experiences to visit the farm. If you would like to adopt one of the animals at the farm, please fill out our waiting list form. For our piglets, we offer a 7-day 100% money-back guarantee. When you come to pick up your piglet, we block an hour to give you a tour and meet your pig's parents. We also go over care, training, and any other questions you may have. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate unplanned visits as it disrupts the animals' schedule and well-being.
